Jeanmarie P., NJ

My name is Jeanmarie P. and I am 43 years old. I am married and have two daughters, Molly who is eight and Daisy who is two and a half. I live in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ. I need your help! Please pick me! I need to put a bounce back in my step AND my husband's as well. Since having my daughter two and a half years ago I have fallen apart. I've totally slipped into the "I don't care how I look" and "I just want to dress comfortably" style. It's really, really sad and not the image I want to project. I feel most sorry for my husband of four years. It would be great for him to come home and find his wife dressed in a way that is attractive rather than looking like I just rolled out of bed. Please, Please pick me!

I am a stay at home Mom of a beautiful 19-month-old boy. He is a delight. I am about to turn 42 years old this year and have had a total turnaround in my life. In 2005 I started my MBA because I wanted to be considered for more management roles and that was what was lacking in my background. Well, I started in September 2005, single, took a trip to Italy by myself in October and returned thinking "if I was going to remain single for my life that was OK." But in November I met my husband. We met in 2005 got engaged in 2006, married in 2007. We moved from my condo to a single home in Pennsylvania in late 2007 and got pregnant right away, which was amazing considering I was 39 and Tim is 44. Danny arrived in August 2008. I was laid off from my job in December 2006, so I began putting my full efforts into finishing my MBA, which I did in June 2008 when I was very pregnant. I also started a small business accounting company and had 1 client while I was pregnant. I was a size 12 for just about my whole life but no longer fit into that size. I am somewhere between a 14-16 now. I have lots of clothes that no longer fit me or my lifestyle of being a stay-at-home mom. Right now, I'm wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and sneakers. I really play with my son and get dirty like him. We have a lot of fun together, but I could really use a makeover to get in tune with my new life and have clothes that fit and suit me. I am also trying to find a part-time job, although that has not panned out yet so I would need something for that too. Now that I am over 40 I am not sure what to wear other than being conservative.

My 50th birthday was March 11th. I am a poet with a rock band and a former punk rocker (in the 80's). My teen daughter (only child) just turned 14 and is so embarrassed by my wardrobe (I still love my leopard prints and skinny black jeans). Mostly I dress in all black to hide my flaws and look skinnier. I hate my short legs so I wear VERY high heels with very bad bunions. The problem is my body is no longer 118 pounds at 5' 2 1/2" (I think I shrunk and am about 132 lbs). I need to look cool yet be rock-n-roll for shows. My daughter feels like I am not a normal mom. We all agree this is my midlife crisis. I want to have it on my terms but need some help. DESPERATELY. PLEASE HELP!!
